Who's ill?

Imagine a day when you have to stay in a dark room, locked from outside, no access to anything, getting a loaf of bread and water,no separate toilet to urinate.Gives you creeps, isn't it?
Now imagine about how would Sahista, a 27 year old girl be feeling after being locked in a 3X6 feet room not for one day but 3 years.

For all these years, she had no one to hear her plight. The worst part adding to her miseries was that she was locked by her own mother who said that her daughter was mentally ill.
Is this the treatment for a mentally ill child in our country? I feel the opposite. It wasn't the daughter who was ill, probably it was the mother, who did such a brutal act.
What is the fault of these children? That is how they are created and that is how they are to be accepted. Why do we have to think twice before accepting them as normal beings?
Without thinking much we'll blame the government. But then how do we behave on seeing any mental patient? Do we go and talk to them?
In my opinion they deserve to sit with us and handled with care and love. We all are the creation of same god, isn't it..
We must be patient and humanitarian. I'm sure each one of us have met such people. Lets try and know them better. If we still hesitate I think its not them who need help..We ought to give it a thought.
