Why not legalize it...

Ever since the Chinese declared 'to get rich is to be glorious', women without brain power or money have been using the only asset available to them for quick money. Generally their day begins a little later than others. Unlike others they don't have to get up early for work, nor they have to search for customers. For obvious reasons they don't come out in broad daylight. There are no fixed working hours and no off's..Doesnt it seem too easy??
That is what they thought when they were told to enter prostitution.
Moly, a 22 yr old girl can't remember from when she has been in a brothel . When asked, she said "I was brought here by one uncle. He promised me a job. But now I'm a brand prostitute".
Thousands of girls work with Moly who don't want to return to their homes now. They have accepted 'kothas' as their houses..
We all know that prostitution in India isnt legalised. But everybody knows about the famous G.b road in Delhi, Sonagachi in Kolkata and Kamathipura in Mumbai.
We all know that even respectable people of our society visit these brothels after dusk. Then why isnt it legal? Legalisation would help in decreasing rape cases, social acceptance of prostitutes in our society, underage prostitution would be curtailed.
what do you think?

  1. For one, studies do show that when you legalise things like these, they can be better controlled and regulated. But then, I also feel that people who force a woman into prostitution have maybe 1% fear if not more that they'd be caught. By legalising it, they would have no qualms (not that they have any right now, but you know)in forcing her. But ya, maybe legalising it and then giving certain exclusive rights to the prostitutes...
