The Lost Essence ....

Pushpa was 11 years old when she woke up one morning and found out that she was going to a wedding that day: hers.
Her parents and relatives had arranged for her to marry her first cousin, an aunt’s son. He was 25.
Throughout the world, marriage is regarded as a moment of celebration and a milestone in an adult’s life. Sadly, the practice of early marriage gives no such cause for celebration.
Poor health, early death and lack of educational opportunities are some of the problems attributed to child marriage. We call children as a future of our nation yet we are responsible for ruining their lives. Child marriage is a gross injustice to children as it proves devastating for them. For instance, a girl who marry young, consequently gives birth young and therefore have an increased risk for complications or even death in child birth.
Though child marriage has been banned long ago it is not stopped and is still prevalent. There’s an instant need for a self introspection call, to stop this evil from spreading.
